Born in China, Ejing Zhang pursued her design education in the UK. She graduated from the Royal College of Art, London 2013. In RCA she specialised in mixed media textile design and has had work experiences in luxury fashion houses including Alexander McQueen and Givenchy. Because of her outstanding skills in creating colour and materials, she has also worked with Liberty London for colour forecasting and lately as a colour and trim intern for Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studio in Como. Ejing was selected by Wallpaper Magazine as one of the ‘Best Graduate Talent 2014’, and has given talks in the London Design Museum. Her own creation of materials, which combines threads, wood and resin were favoured by WGSN and she was the designer of 19 trophies of the ‘Global Fashion Awards 2013’.
The studio of Ejing Zhang was founded in 2014, dedicating to design and craft the beauty of mixed materials with a unique aesthetic and technique; ultimately manipulate into contemporary accessories. She carries her sensibility and skills of handling details throughout her creations. Each piece is one of a kind. Ejing Zhang jewellery collection is showcased at Paris Fashion Week and Shanghai Fashion Week.
