Indonesia Fashion Forward Launches for 2017

2017 marks the sixth year of the Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF) programme, a collaboration between CFE, British Council Indonesia and Jakarta Fashion Week. Following the successes of the programme to date, IFF continues to deliver support to emerging fashion designers in Indonesia.

January will see CFE expert consultants Toby Meadows and Sanjeev Davidson launch the first stage of the programme in Jakarta, providing bespoke training and mentoring to Indonesia designers, with the aim to transform the IFF designers into globally visible designer businesses.

In addition, London College of Fashion will sponsor a one-day seminar on 26 January, focused on managing growing creative teams. The event, which will be delivered to Indonesian creatives, will cover topics such as ‘Managing Creative Teams’, ‘How to Start a Fashion Business on a Budget’ as well as conversation sessions with IFF alumni designers.

With the support provided by CFE consultants, IFF designers will showcase their collections at Jakarta Fashion Week in October 2017. The event has previously captured the attention of buyers from international retailers such as Fenwick, Neiman Marcus, Harvey Nichols, ASOS, Question Air.
