CFE Designers Successfully Complete YOTA Programme

The past 12 months has seen the YOTA programme funded by the European Commission, focus on facilitating bespoke business support to fashion businesses from the Mediterranean region.

Designers Bashaques’, Ece Gozen, Maya Bash and Muslin Brothers have now completed their 6-month residencies at the East London studio spaces and returned to their home countries to build their learnings into the day to day running of their businesses. Building on the extensive CFE network, designers made impressive progress including; selling to UK retailers, showing collections at Paris showrooms, launching a new e-commerce website and securing collaborative projects with commercial partners.

“…Networking, doing something about the business, describing your weaknesses and strengths, designing your brand presentation, your own design style… these things are very important and I realise that now. I used this opportunity 100%!” – Ece Gozen

The successful programme received support and recognition from across the fashion industry including editorial coverage from Women’s Wear Daily online with the British Council’s Kendall Robbins, Programme Manager, Fashion, sitting on the steering committee.

This programme has now closed. For further information please contact Enterprise Projects Manager, Louise Mullane:
